University Hospital Waterford trolley and ward watch figures for Thursday (July 19)

There are 13 people on trolleys and the ward at University Hospital Waterford on Thursday (July 19), according to the latest trolley and ward watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

The nationwide figure is 338, an increase of 30% on the same day last year when there were 261 patients on trolleys.

The hospitals with the highest numbers on Thursday are Cork University Hospital (36) and University Hospital Limerick (35). 

Other figures for Thursday include South Tipperary General Hospital (5), Wexford General Hospital (3) and Kilkenny's St Luke's Hospital (27).
