An “encampment” in Waterford city has been cleared again, amid “grown men partying into the night”.
Fianna Fáil councillor Eamon Quinlan addressed the issue in a post on social media.
Cllr Quinlan said: “Following repeated representations to the council, I am glad to see the ‘encampment’ on Penrose Lane has been cleared again.
“Parties, use of substances, grown men congregating and partying into the night in a built up residential area.
“Many residents contacted me about the level of fear and lack of safety with such an area outside their doors.”
He concluded by saying that those with children had been particularly concerned about the activity in the area.
