Just 24 properties are currently available to rent in Co Waterford, as of Friday May 10.
According to listings on Rent.ie, three houses each are available to rent in Dungarvan and Waterford City Centre, with two each in Passage East, Gracedieu, and Ballygunner.
Just one property is currently up for rent in Annestown, Butlerstown, Faithlegg, Ferrybank, Grantstown, Kilmeadan and Tramore.
The cheapest 3-bed home available is located in Waterford City Centre for €958 per month, while the most expensive home is a 4-bed in Ballygunner for €2,500 per month.
Other cheaper properties appear to be rented by the room and advertise to students.
According to the Central Statistics Office, between the 2016 and 2022 censues, the average weekly rent paid to a private landlord in Waterford in April 2022 was €189 (a 44% increase on 2016).
Meanwhile, 216 3-bed family homes are available to buy in Waterford, according to Daft.ie.
