‘Fantastic news’ - Progress being made on extension to much-loved Waterford shop
An extension is being undertaken to Jaybee’s Bakery & Shop on the road to Dunmore East
Progress is being made on an extension to a much-loved shop in County Waterford.
An extension is being undertaken to Jaybee’s Bakery & Shop at an address of Ballinakina, Dunmore East.
The shop provided an update on the works in a post on Facebook.
The post stated: “Who is excited for our new bakery?
“As of this week, we have the roof trusses in place! Stay tuned for more updates!”
Jaybee’s received planning permission for the development in October 2024.
It will consist of a ground floor bakery and ancillary accommodation, as well as lower floor office and staff accommodation.
A number of works will also be carried out to renovate the existing shop.
As well as that, an external utility shed, security fence and gates will be constructed.
The shop, which is run by the local Amish community, is well renowned for its baked goods.
It is also popular for ice-cream, particularly among people travelling to and from Dunmore East on a sunny day.
