Temperatures could reach as high as 25°C in Waterford today

Waterford is set for another couple of dry days over the weekend, as farmers’ wait for rain goes on.

Today will start off cloudy but will get brighter and sunnier as the day goes on.

Highest temperatures of 25°C, with widespread sunshine expected from 4pm onwards.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with overnight temperatures of around 15°C.

Tomorrow (Saturday) will be a cloudier day, with cloud cover expected to remain throughout the day.

Temperatures will remain relatively high though, with temperatures of around 21°C.

Sunday will be very similar, although there may be some spells of sunshine in the morning in particular.

The weather early next week is expected to continue in the same fashion, with Monday and Tuesday set to be warm, cloudy and dry.

A hosepipe ban came into effect nationwide this morning, given the lack of rain in recent weeks.

Met Éireann’s current forecast predicts that there won’t be any rain in Waterford until Friday next, July 31.

However, rain has been forecast in other parts of the country, with odd patch of light rain or drizzle possible in the north and west today.

Tomorrow, more rain is being forecast for that part of Ireland, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle expected.

That rain is expected to spread southeastwards as the day goes on, but is currently not being forecast to reach Waterford.
