Waterford ladies Brid Mallon & Lilly McGrath travelled to Áras an Uachtaráin following an invitation by President Michael D. Higgins himself.
The visit was made to celebrate their work and contribution to League of Ireland football, according to a post by Waterford FC on Facebook.
The two woman were pictured standing outside the Áras an Uachtaráin to celebrate their work and dedication.
One person commented, "That’s fantastic. Two legends of the club who have been there through thick and thin. Very well-deserved."
