Permission granted for padel courts on grounds of Waterford soccer club

Planning permission has been granted for the construction of padel courts on the grounds of a soccer club in County Waterford.

Dungarvan United Soccer Club has been granted permission for the development at their club grounds with an address of Kilrush, Dungarvan.

The development will consist of three padel courts with fencing enclosures and roof covers.

Each courts will be approximately 10 metres in width and 20 metres in length.

They will be surrounded by fencing with comprised of a metal frame tempered glass. The fencing will be approximately three metres in height.

The courts will be lined with artificial grass, which will either be blue or green in colour.

There will also be four LED lights surrounding each court, with an approximate height of six metres.

Dungarvan Soccer Club submitted the planning application on March 26.

Waterford City and County Council granted permission for the development on May 20, with four conditions attached.
