‘Some idiot’ - Waterford residents unhappy with signs put up on ‘dangerous corner’
Cllr John O’Leary reported the issue to Waterford City and County Council
A number of County Waterford residents have expressed their frustration at signs that were put up on a “dangerous corner”.
A local resident took to Facebook to express her dismay at the location of the signs.
The post stated: “Does anybody know who put these up today?
“The council made this bend wider because it was a dangerous corner and some idiot came along and put these up.
“They are obstructing the view of oncoming traffic from the Kill direction when turning right for Blacknock.”
She concluded by saying that the signs were an “accident waiting to happen”.
Another local woman commented: “Saw them today and thought who the hell put them up?”
“Bloody eejits, that's a bad bend,” another resident said.
Fianna Fáil councillor John O’Leary subsequently reported the issue to Waterford City and County Council.
It is understood that the signs have since been removed.
