A photo taken at the scene on the N24 by one of the passengers on the bus
A bus travelling from Waterford to Limerick came perilously close to toppling over after leaving the road this Sunday.
The photograph above, taken by one of the passengers on the 3.40pm Waterford to Limerick service, shows the bus only being stopped from crashing onto its side by bushes and trees.
It is believed the road traffic incident occurred on the main N24 road near Tipperary Town.

A garda spokesperson confirmed no injuries were reported by passengers, a number of whom were travelling to Limerick city for college.
"Gardaí were alerted after a bus veered off the road and struck a ditch on the N24 at Longford Bridge near Tipperary Town shortly after 5.30pm this Sunday, October 13.
"The passengers on the bus were medically assessed before continuing their journey in a replacement vehicle. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing," said a garda spokesperson.
It is not known what happened that resulted in the bus crossing over the road, against oncoming traffic and ending up in the ditch on the wrong side of the road.
Emergency services responded promptly and passengers continued on their journey to Limerick on a replacement bus.
A Bus Eireann spokesperson said they are aware of an incident earlier this Sunday evening on Route 55 between Waterford and Limerick.
"Local emergency services and Bus Éireann personnel attended the scene promptly. Bus Éireann are investigating how this accident occurred, as per standard procedure for such an incident.
"We would like to thank An Garda Síochána and the emergency services for their response to the incident," said the spokesperson.
