Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a serious fire on the outskirts of Waterford city at the weekend.
It's understood the fire - at Hollymount, Carriganurra, Slieverue - is being treated as arson and that a criminal investigation has been launched.
A garda spokesperson stated: "Waterford Crime Unit are investigating a significant incident of Criminal Damage by fire which occurred at Hollymount, Carriganurra, Slieverue at 2.05 on the morning of Saturday, April 5 2025."
While no injuries were sustained in the fire, gardai say significant damage was caused to the property.

Gardaí are seeking the public’s assistance and they are appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles in the area at this time or in the days preceding it please contact the Crime Unit at Waterford garda station on 051 305300.

The scene of the fire was technically examined over the weekend and investigations are ongoing.
