Tributes flood in for 'always smiling, always beautiful' young Waterford woman who passed away

Many friends, family, and former co-workers took to RIP.ie to share their memories and condolences

Tributes have begun to pour in for Stephanie Tebay (née Gough) late of Ashley Court, Cleaboy Road, and formerly of Saint John's Park.

The Waterford woman passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the tender and excellent care of the staff of the Oak Ward, Dunmore Wing, in the University Hospital Waterford.

Ms Tebay sadly died on Thursday, February 6, and is deeply regretted by her loving son Geoff and his father John.

Stephanie will be dearly missed by her parents Stephen and Joan, brothers John, Steve, and Michael and sister Louise. She will be fondly remembered by her partner Dermot, her adoring nieces Hannah, Lauren, Jessica and Ciara, nephews Tommy, Bobbie, Mikey and Evan, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family and friends.

Many friends, family, and former co-workers took to RIP.ie to share their memories and condolences.

One friend from school shared, "I’m so sorry to hear of Stephanie’s passing. I have lovely memories of her from school.
Always smiling, always beautiful. May she Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences." 

While another old friend commented, "Cannot believe the sad news. Heartfelt condolences to Stephanie's son Geoff, her parents, to Dermot, her brothers, sister Louise, John and all the nieces, nephews and many friends. Stephanie was an absolute treasure. Many a laugh and funny chat we had. Hadn't seen Stephanie in a long time but I often thought of her. May you get a beautiful bed in heaven and keep shining down on all that loved you. Rest in eternal peace Stephanie and I will never forget you xxxx" 

A third said, "We are so deeply sorry to hear the very sad news of Stephanie's passing. She was a beautiful, loving and kind person inside and out and brought a sparkle to everything. Our deepest condolences to all of her family and ye are in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad and difficult time. May Stephanie's gentle soul rest peace." 

The much-loved woman's funeral took place on Sunday, February 9 in The Sacred Heart Church, The Folly, and was then followed by private cremation in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.

The house was private, with family flowers only. Donations, if desired, can go to the Palliative Care Unit in Waterford
