A funeral has been held in Waterford for a young man who sadly passed away, leaving many people heartbroken.

Andrew Gray Foley was from St. Catherine's Grange in Waterford City and died on 2nd March 2026, predeceased by his grandparents Mary and Jimmy Gray and Kathleen and Mikey Foley.

Andrew is sadly missed by his loving mother Noeleen, father Michael, brother Darren, sister Emma, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Andrew's funeral was held on 6th March in the Holy Family Church, Luke Wadding Street for Requiem Mass, followed by burial in Ballybricken Church Cemetery.

The family appreciates your sympathy, support and understanding at this difficult time.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and cherished Andrew, with one mourner writing,

"An absolute gent gone to soon, may you get the best seat up there pal. Thoughts and prayers to you're family at this incredibly difficult time. Until we meet again RIP Andrew".

Another message said, "So sad to hear this news, Andrew was a very highly respected player and a total kind gentleman on the snooker circuit, deepest sympathy to all his family and friends at this extremely difficult time".

"Andrew you were one of the good ones, always so kind and always smiling. Holding onto all the great memories of the great times we had - that's how I will always think of you! I truly am devastated! Noleen, Mick, Darren and Emma I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your Andrew. I hope you find peace in knowing how loved he really was," another person wrote.
