Garda Joe Burke has passed away recently
Tributes have poured in for Waterford local Joe Burke who passed away recently.
Joe was from Mullane’s Pub in Newgate Street in Waterford and was a member of An Garda Síochána.
Joe will be sadly missed by his sons Derek and Joe, daughter Yvonne, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Orla and Sandra, grandchildren Michaela, Kate, Aisling, Adam, Ross, Alex, James, Joe, Grace and Christopher, grandson-in-law Tom, his great-grandchildren Robyn and Reuben, sister Breda, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Joe, with one mourner writing,
"Sincere Sympathy to The Burke Family on The Death of Joe. May his Gentle Soul Rest In Peace. Joe was a Colleague over many years. We had many a chat relative to our Fishing Days on The River Suir."

Another message said, "Saddened at the news of Joe's passing. Our deepest sympathy to Derek, Joe, Yvonne and all the family, thinking of you all at this sad time. Joe was a very good friend , a great listener, always called for the cup of tea and brought his rhubarb."
"Deepest sympathy to Derek,Yvonne, Joey and all the grandchildren and extended family on the very sad passing of Joe. James and I have the fondest memories of many an occasion we enjoyed with Joe and all his wonderful family. May Joe rest in eternal peace with his lovely wife Beryl," another person wrote.
