RIP: 'A gentleman'- Local Waterford man paid heartfelt tributes as he is laid to rest

Local Waterford man paid heartfelt tributes as he is laid to rest

Tributes have poured in for local Waterford man Patrick Morrissey remembered as a gentleman by all who knew him.

Patrick was from Glenanane, Ballinamult in Waterford and passed away peacefully in St. Michael's Unit in Dungarvan Community Hospital on 20th May 2025.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Aggie (née O'Donoghue), parents Michael and Nan Morrissey, brother Monnie, sisters Kathleen, Nellie and Nonie. Patrick is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, other relatives and friends.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and cared for Patrick, with one mourner writing,

"Sympathy to all nephews nieces O'Donoghue & extended families at this sad time..Pat was always a pleasure to meet..may he rest in peace with all beloved ones..".

Another message said, "Sincere sympathy to all the Morrissey family and friends on the passing of Pat.
I have many lovely memories of Pat when we were children as we walked to school together..He was a kind and gentle person.
May he rest in Peace."
