Book of Condolence for Sinéad O'Connor opened in two Waterford locations

A BOOK of condolences dedicated to Sinéad O’Connor has been opened for the public to avail of. 

The singer, 56, was found unresponsive in her London home on Wednesday, July 26.

Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr. Joe Conway has opened a book of condolence for the singer/political activist, saying: “On behalf of the citizens of Waterford, I would like to extend deepest sympathies to Sinéad’s family, friends and her millions of fans throughout the world.

“The world has lost a gifted songwriter, a luminous performer and an incredible talent.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam,” Mayor Conway concluded.

 The books of condolence are available for members of the public to sign at:

  • City Hall, The Mall, Waterford (X91 PK15) from 9.30am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
  • Civic Office, Davitt’s Quay, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford (X35 Y326) from 9.30am-1pm and 2pm–4pm

Alternatively, an online Book of Condolence is available here. All messages of sympathy will be sent to Sinéad’s family.
