Planning permission granted for major six-storey development in Waterford

Waterford City and County Council has granted permission for the development
Planning permission has been granted for a major mixed use development in County Waterford.
The six-storey development is planned for Davitt’s Quay and T.F. Meagher Street in Dungarvan.
Permission has been granted for the demolition of the existing buildings with full site clearance and the construction of a six-storey mixed use development.
The building will contain two commercial units, with one on the ground floor and one on the first floor.
The rest of the building will contain apartments, with 37 planned in total. There are also plans for a service area, lobby areas and ancillary storage.
Outside the building, permission has been granted for a plant area, bin storage and bicycle storage.
A communal roof garden is also proposed for the fourth floor with hard and soft landscaping.
Furthermore, works will be undertaken on signage, lighting and connection to the wastewater system.
A number of associated site works will also be carried out.
The planning application was submitted by O'Brien Family Partnership on August 19, 2025.
Waterford City and County Council granted permission for the development on September 8.
