Popular late night bar in Waterford city to reopen today following sudden closure

The Kazbar in Waterford city has been closed since last Thursday

A popular late night bar in Waterford city is set to reopen today following its sudden closure.

The Kazbar in the Apple Market has been closed since Thursday, August 27.

In a post on social media, a spokesperson for the bar said that this was to facilitate “essential maintenance works and upgrades”.

However, the spokesperson added that the bar is set to reopen this Friday following the completion of the works.

It comes just as students are returning to the South East Technological University (SETU) for the upcoming academic year.

The bar regularly draws large crowds of young people, particularly on student nights and at the weekend.
