A soccer club in Waterford city has received a big boost after it was given the go-ahead to construct a new gym facility.
Villa FC has been granted planning permission for the development at its club grounds of Ozier Park in Poleberry.
The development will consist of a single storey gym facility and two pre-assembled modular units for the purpose of changing facilities.
A number of other necessary site and ground works will also be undertaken to complete the project.
The development will be undertaken to the south of the club’s existing clubhouse, beside the astroturf pitch.
The planning application was submitted by Villa FC on March 31.
Waterford City and County Council granted permission for the development on May 20, with four conditions attached.
