RIP: Search for missing 35-year-old man stood down amid tragic Garda update

The search for a missing 35-year-old man has been stood down following a tragic announcement from Gardaí on Thursday morning.
Joshua O'Hagan was reported missing from his home in Buncrana, Co Donegal, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
Joshua was last seen on Saturday October 17, 2026, wearing a grey duffel coat and jeans.
The 35-year-old was described as being approximately 6 foot 1 inch in height, with a medium build, brown hair and blue eyes and Gardaí and Joshua's family were concerned for his well-being.
In a statement on Thursday, Gardaí said,
“Following the discovery of a body of a male, the missing person appeal in respect of 35-year-old Joshua O'Hagan, who was reported missing from Buncrana, Co Donegal since Tuesday 20th October 2026, has been stood down.
“An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
