Waterford patients on trolleys among the highest in the country on Monday

IRISH NURSES AND MIDWIVES ORGANISATION TROLLEY AND WARD WATCH FIGURES FOR MONDAY

University Hospital Waterford is among the hospitals with the highest number of patients on trolleys and the ward on Monday (August 13).

There are 31 people of trolleys and the ward in Waterford, according to the latest trolley and ward watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation.

Waterford joins University Hospital Limerick (46) and Cork University Hospital (30) as the hospitals with the highest numbers for Monday. 

The nationwide figure is 372, an increase of 26% on the same day last year when there were 295 patients on trolleys.

Other figures for Monday include South Tipperary General Hospital (19), Kilkenny's St Luke's General Hospital (24) and Wexford General Hospital (22).
