TFI Local Link Waterford is enhancing bus services from Fermoy to Dungarvan and Dungarvan to Youghal, from Monday the 11th of December.

This enhancement is part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan which is a major national public transport initiative developed and funded by the National Transport Authority (NTA) as part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) Network.

Route 364 will now operate four daily return services with additional peak time services between Dungarvan and Tallow and Tallow and Fermoy, Monday to Friday, and three return services on Saturday.

It will also provide a new connection from Fermoy to Dungarvan and improved connectivity to Lismore, Cappoquin, Davitt’s Quay and regional bus services.

Route 361 will now operate nine daily return services Monday to Sunday. The route will also offer improved frequency to Dungarvan, An Rinn, Helvick Head and Youghal.

It will provide a peak-time and evening service for commuters and will have a new connection from Ardmore to Youghal, as well as connectivity to regional bus services.

Speaking ahead of the launch, TFI Local Link Waterford General Manger James O’Donoghue said: “We would encourage our customers to check the new timetable as there are a number of changes to the current timetable and stop locations.

“We are delighted with the continued development of local transport services under the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan, creating services that, will allow people to consider switching some journeys from private vehicles to the more sustainable TFI public transport network.”
