Waterford FC have added Dean McMenamy to their squad for 2023 after the highly-rated midfielder signed a long-term contract with the Blues.
McMenamy, who is a product of Shamrock Rovers' academy, spent last season on loan at Longford Town where he made 30 appearances for the club.
The 20-year-old told Waterford's club website: "I’m delighted to sign for this great club; everything about the club is top class and I can’t wait to get started.
"When I heard Waterford FC wanted to sign me, it was a no-brainer because it’s full-time football, the facilities and the stadium are excellent and one the best in the league, and the fan base is top class.
"Whenever I played against the club last year, the fans were unbelievable. They got behind the teams no matter what and I can’t wait to play in front of them.
"The goal for the year is to win the league. I can’t wait to get a chance to play a part in the club reaching this goal and getting back to the Premier Division where it belongs.
"I can’t wait to get going and meet up with the boys. The hard work has started already."
