Waterford FC have announced the signing of Aldershot defender Giles Phillips for the forthcoming League of Ireland season.
Phillips, who previously played for Wycombe Wanderers and Queens Park Rangers, is familiar with Blues boss Danny Searle as the pair worked together at Aldershot.
The 25-year-old from the USA told Waterford's club website: "I am very excited to be here and excited to get going for the new season.
"I spoke to the gaffer [Danny Searle] and due to working with each other at Aldershot, we know each other well. He sold me the Waterford package – I can’t wait.
"I want to keep the goals out at the back, keep as many clean sheets are possible and help this club get back to the First Division.
"I have met some of the lads and they’ve been very welcoming so I just can’t wait to get going."
