Ex-Republic of Ireland staff member Anthony Barry won't be returning to Stephen Kenny's coaching team, according to the Independent.
Barry, who departed his role to join the Belgum set-up last February, had been linked with a return to his FAI position but sources have suggested that the Chelsea coach could work alongside ex-Belgium boss Roberto Martinez again - this time in the Portuguese international set-up.
Kenny is still on the lookout to add to his coaching staff following John Eustace's departure for Birmingham last July.
Reports have indicated the Ireland manager is in advanced talks with another candidate with an appointment expected before the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying campaign begins in March.
