New Waterford nightclub cancels this weekend's official opening

Waterford’s new "premium nightlife venue" Factory has cancelled its plans to open this week.

Their official launch will now take place from Friday 7th to Wednesday 12th September.

“An extensive construction job is nearing completion, a sound and visual package to rival the best in the country has just arrived on site and we are excited to unveil a venue unlike any ever seen in Waterford,” a spokesperson for Factory said in recent weeks.

However, partygoers will have to wait a few weeks longer to see what all the hype is about.

Factory went on a recruitment drive in recent weeks, advertising for DJs, bar staff, floor staff, a cloak room assistant, a ticket desk assistant and security.
