Waterford’s new "premium nightlife venue" Factory opens this weekend.
The hype has been building as Factory put the finishing touches to the nightclub on John Street.
Factory will open its doors on Friday (August 24), with invitations already sent out for the official launch night. DJ Darragh Collopy will perform on the Factory floor, with Warren, Kenno and Ado playing The Workshop room.
A night of RePublik Music classics with Warren and Kenno will feature at Factory on Saturday night (August 25), with support from SX2. Mini Dam will play The Workshop on Saturday night.
RePublik Music will continue to attract the best international acts to the Factory floor, with the first three major international guests already confirmed for the coming months. In addition to events on the Factory floor, RePublik Music will also take over The Workshop every Saturday night with a variety of local, national and international DJs.
Boots and Kats bring their unique brand of chaos to Factory on Wednesday 12th September. Factory’s Fresher’s Week line-up, which runs from September 23-27, is "not to be missed".
“An extensive construction job is nearing completion, a sound and visual package to rival the best in the country has just arrived on site and we are excited to unveil a venue unlike any ever seen in Waterford,” a spokesperson for Factory said.
Factory went on a recruitment drive in recent weeks, advertising for DJs, bar staff, floor staff, a cloak room assistant, a ticket desk assistant and security.
