Gardaí have issued an update in the case where a man in his 70s was found unresponsive outside a premises on Church Street in Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, and later pronounced deceased.
A man in his 60s was arrested on Friday, December 19, in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred at approximately 4.00am on Wednesday, July 30, when Gardaí were notified that a man in his 70s had been brought to University Hospital Kerry in Tralee after being found unresponsive outside a premises on Church Street in Kilgarvan.
He later passed away in hospital.
The man arrested was detained at a Garda station in Co. Kerry under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, and has since been released without charge.
Gardaí have confirmed that a file will be prepared for submission to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
