The bodies of a woman and two men were found dead in a house in Co Louth

Gardaí have launched an investigating after three people were found dead in a house in Co Louth.

Gardai were alerted to a house this morning where the bodies of three people, believed to be two men and a woman, were discovered.

It is understood the bodies were discovered in a house close to Tallanstown and remain at the scene. 

It is believed the three deceased are members of the same family.

Gardaí arrested a man in the locality in relation to the incident and he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardai in a statement said they are responding to a serious ongoing incident.
