A hairdryer sold in popular stores in Ireland is being recalled due to a major safety hazard.
According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the OOOOO Hairdyer sold at TK Maxx and Homesense is being recalled due to a risk of electric shock, physical injury and damage to property.
The plug reportedly does not meet the required safety standards.
The model number of the affected product is OO15HD, and the product code shown on the price sticker and the receipt will be either 158207, 158216 or 158217.
The batch number is 220221 and the barcode is unknown.
There are approximately 65 affected products in the Republic of Ireland; they were sold in stores between November 2023 and January 2024.
Customers should stop using the product immediately and return it to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a full refund.
