A man has been charged by gardai investigating a serious road collision in County Wexford over the weekend.
A number of people were hospitalised following the incident which involved three vehicles.
Emergency services attended the scene on the N25 in Drinagh shortly before 8pm on Saturday.
According to local reports, three adults were taken to Wexford General Hospital with a range of injuries.
One man was arrested at the scene and he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a garda station in County Wexford.
The scene was closed overnight on Saturday to facilitate technical examinations by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
In an update, issued this Monday, investigating confirmed that one man is facing prosecution arising from the incident.
"Gardaí in Wexford have charged one man in relation to an investigation into a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the N25 in Drinagh, County Wexford on Saturday evening, January 27 2024 shortly before 8pm," said a spokesperson.
The man, aged in his 20s, is due to appear before Kilkenny District Court.
Investigations are ongoing.
