Planning permission has been granted for the construction of a new housing estate in a busy part of Waterford city.
A 91-unit development is set to be constructed at an address of Killure Road, Kilcohan, Waterford.
The development will include 44 four-bedroom two-storey houses, five three-bedroom terrace units and two two-bedroom terrace units.
Two four-storey apartment blocks will also be constructed, with each containing 20 apartments.
Each block will consist of four one-bedroom apartments, 13 two-bedroom apartments and three three-bedroom apartments.

Associated bin and bike storage, carparking and site landscaping, together with all associated site development works will also take place.
There will also be a new vehicular entrance to the site from the Kill St. Lawrence Road (L91132) and the upgrading of the existing vehicular junction onto Killure Road.
The planning application was submitted by S & K Carey Ltd on March 10.
A number of objections were made to the proposed development, with the majority coming from residents of the neighbouring Kill St. Lawrence estate.
The residents raised concerns over traffic congestion, noise pollution and safety, particularly for children walking to school.
Waterford City and County Council granted permission for the development on December 7, with a total of 27 conditions attached to the decision.
