Gardaí in Waterford seized seven vehicles and detected a number of offences during a road safety crackdown over the recent Bank Holiday weekend.
The day of action, carried out by Tramore and Dungarvan gardaí, took place at several locations across the county including Kilmeaden and Ballykinsella on Bank Holiday Monday.
In a post on social media, An Garda Síochána Waterford confirmed that "a number of road traffic offences were detected, including suspected drink driving, several no tax and no DOE."
One motorist was caught travelling at 131km/h in an 80km/h zone. Gardaí confirmed that a "prosecution [is] to follow."
In total, seven vehicles were seized during the day of action across the county.
