Ministers will highlight overseas Irish investment and the success that companies have had when choosing Ireland as their Europe base

Waterford TD's John Cummins and Mary Butler are among 38 State representatives of Ireland who will visit 40 countries as part of St Patrick's Day celebrations.

It was revealed today where the ministerial visits will take place, as the Cabinet signed off on the plan that was brought to a meeting by Tánaiste Simon Harris.

Fianna Fail's Mary Butler, who has been a Teachta Dála for Waterford since 2016, will be heading to both Denmark and Sweden, as part of the festive holiday.

Meanwhile, Fine Gael TD for Waterford, John Cummins, who was elected in the 2024 General Election, will head further abroad to Thailand and the Philippines.

During their travels, the Government hopes to emphasis that while Ireland may be small, it is an open economy with economic success that is rooted in its willingness to build partnerships all around the world.

While abroad, Ministers will highlight overseas Irish investment, along with the success that companies have had when choosing Ireland as their Europe base.

Other notable travels include Taoiseach Micheál Martin, who will be heading to Texas and Washington DC in the United States of America, with Tánaiste Simon Harris close-by as he is set to travel to Philadelphia and New York.
