Johnny Keegan, a stalwart of Hibernian FC, has been honoured by the Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr Jason Murphy.
Mayor Murphy honoured Johnny by hosting a Mayoral Reception which took place at City Hall.
A special certificate was presented on the evening to mark the occasion.
Johnny has been involved with Hibernian FC since 1970, first as a player, then a coach and as a dedicated committee member.

During his time on the committee he has served in every position including secretary, treasurer and chairman.
Mayor Murphy commended Johnny by saying “The sterling efforts of Johnny Keegan and people like him are a testament to the continued success of the club”.
