The snaps have been enhanced in a stunning new book
Photographs taken in Waterford over 100 years ago have been given a new lease of life in a new book.
Timeless Colours Waterford from Merrion Press captures the city and county in all its glory in stunning remastered images, including the one above from a hunt meet in the city in 1900, 124 years ago.
A post by Timeless Colours on X said: "A glorious dynamic A.H. Poole photograph taken outside The Imperial Hotel on The Mall in Waterford, Tower Lane visible in background (now in the Tower Hotel). Hard to believe it was taken 124 years ago!"
Another showed a Christmas scene with Christmas trees loaded onto a wagon from William Power Seed Merchants, O'Connell St., Waterford. The picture also featured "a little snow angel, a daughter of the Power family," the publishers added.
