Heavy rain is expected this morning (December 23) with the potential for spot flooding.
That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts clearer conditions in the southwest with scattered showers and highest temperatures ranging from between 5 to 11 degrees.
Any lingering rain will clear early tonight, with a mix of clear spells and a few scattered showers following for the rest of the night.
Later in the night, showers will become more frequent and occasionally heavy along Atlantic coasts.
Lowest temperatures will be between 2 to 6 degrees in a light to moderate southwest breeze, with some mist patches forming too.
