Gardaí seize  €85,000 worth of drugs in South East as part of Operation Thor

Gardaí in the South East made further arrests as part of Operation Thor on Wednesday. 

The operation was conducted by Garda personnel from Gorey and Enniscorthy, supported by roads policing units, the Garda armed support units and the dog unit. 

15 people were arrested, 15 residences were searched under warrant, nine bench/penal warrants were executed and six checkpoints were conducted. 

Controlled drugs with an approximate street value of €85,000 - including three kilos of cannabis, 23 mature cannabis plants along with smaller amounts of cocaine MDMA and Xanax sticks - was recovered.

Operation Thor is currently on-going and one person remains in custody under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
