RIP: 'Beautiful smile'- Tributes paid to Waterford lady who sadly passed away

Tributes have poured in for Miriam Clooney who sadly passed away recently who has been remembered for her warmth and gentleness.

Miriam was from Mount Pleasant in Waterford City and died on July 11 2025.

She is sadly missed by her adoring husband Michael, sons David and Michael, daughter Liz, daughters-in-law Jill and Juliana, brother Martin, sisters Ann, Alicia, Angela and Patricia, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Miriam's family have gave thanks to all the staff at Killure Bridge Nursing Home for the excellent care Miriam received.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Miriam, with one mourner writing,

"I was very sad to hear of Miriam's death. It is many, many years since we met but the warmth and gentleness she exuded can not be forgotten as well as her beautiful smile. I am very sorry that I was unable to attend Miriam's funeral. Sincere sympathy to husband Michael, to David Michael and Liz. To Martin, Ann, Alicia Angela and Patricia and the extended Clooney and Falconer families. May Miriam rest in peace. Anne".

Another message said, "I am so sorry to hear of Miriam’s passing. She was such a lovely kind lady. My condolences to Michael and family. May Miriam’s gentle soul Rest in Peace".

"Sincere Condolences David & to Your Family on the sad passing of your beautiful Mam Miriam , David & Jill You are All in Our Thoughts & Prayers at this sad time , May Miriam R.I.P," another message said.
