RIP: 'Gone too soon'- Waterford local paid tribute following untimely passing

RIP Suzanne Walsh

Tributes have poured in for Waterford native Suzanne Walsh who sadly passed away recently and has been remembered as a lovely person by all who knew her.

Suzanne was from Coolfin, Portlaw in Waterford and died on 11th July 2025

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Anton, son Rhys, brother Damien, sisters-in-law Mags, Helena and Carmel, brothers-in-law Derek, Conor and Declan, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Arrangements:

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Tuesday (15th July) from 7:00 pm to 8.30 pm with vigil prayers and rosary at 8:00 pm.

Requiem Mass on arrival in St. Patrick’s Church, Portlaw on Wednesday (16th July) at 11.00 am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Suzanne, with one mourner writing,

"So very sorry to hear of Suzanne’s untimely passing, sincere condolences to Anton, Rhys, Damien & all the family. Suzanne was a kind & gentle person & it was a pleasure working with her over the years in Hasbro / Cartamundi".

Another message said, "We were shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Suzanne's untimely death. A lovely person, gone too soon.
Sincere condolences to Anton, Rhys, Damian and extended family, our thoughts are with you on your sad loss. May Suzanne rest in peace with her beloved parents, Eddie and Margaret."

"Sincere Condolence to Anton, Rhys, Damien, and extended Sweeney and Walsh family on the very sad passing of Suzanne, thinking and praying for you all. May Suzanne gentle soul rest in eternal peace."
