Well-known Waterford man paid heartfelt tributes
Tributes have poured in for Waterford local Billy Bolster who was very popular and loved amongst his community.
Billy was from Newtown in Tramore in Waterford and died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday the 21st of May 2025
Billy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Bridget, his children William and Edel; his adoring grandchildren Alexandra, Ross, Freya and Devin; his daughter-in-law Orla and his son-in-law Sean. Billy will be forever remembered by his nieces and nephews, relatives, extended family, wonderful neighbours, and many many friends
Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Billy, with one mourner writing,
"Condolence to Bridget and all the Bolster family on the sad passing of Billy, a wonderful man with a great business head when I stayed in their B&B from time to time. There was nice scones hot from the oven served in the kitchen with great chat before bed time nice memories from two nice people."

Another message said, "Sincere condolences to William and the extended Bolster family on their sad loss. Billy was one of natures gentlemen. May he rest in peace."
"Am so saddened to hear of Billy’s death. He was such a lovely patient man and endured his confinement without a word of complaint for many years. Deepest sympathy to Bridget who looked after him with love and kindness. There was always a welcome for anyone who called. I will always remember the beautiful pavlova and meals she served the last time we called. May his soul rest in peace now. A great man gone to God. Condolences to Edel and William and extended family Love to all," another tribute read.
