Tributes pour in for Kilkenny mother 'taken too soon'

Tributes have been pouring in for a Waterford mother who passed away this Tuesday.

Aoife Walsh of Rathinure, Glenmore, Co Kilkenny, has died this Tuesday, July 30.

Formerly of Abbey Park, Ferrybank, Waterford, Aoife was the mother of her much loved son, Ruaidrí.

Predeceased by her father John, she will be sadly missed by her son Ruaidrí, her loving mother Anne, her partner PJ, sisters Grainne, Céara, Róisín and Enda, brother John, nieces and nephews: Clóideach, Luke, Caolán, Áine, Tadhg, Íde, Cillín and Fódhla, brothers-in-law Brendan, Diarmuid and Mark, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Since the sad news broke in, tributes have been pouring in for Aoife.

“My deepest sympathy to all. Our late night chats will not be forgotten. So glad we met,” wrote a friend in tribute.

“Sending my love and deepest sympathies to Anne, Enda and all the Walsh family. I'm so very sorry for your sad loss. May Aoife rest in peace. Thinking of you all at this difficult time xx,” someone paid in tribute.

Aoife will be reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Barrack Street, Waterford on Wednesday, July 31 from 7pm to 8.30pm, with vigil prayers and rosary at 8pm.

Requiem Mass will take place on Thursday at noon in St James Church, Glenmore, Co Kilkenny, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
