At approximately 6am on Saturday morning, July 8th July last a house in Marine Drive, Tramore had the front window smashed.
This was described by gardaí as "a terrifying ordeal for the family".
A garda spokesperson said: "If you were in the area and heard or saw anything please contact Unit A at Tramore Garda Station on 051 391620".
This incident was one of a number of such incidents in Waterford in the past week or so.
In another incident, a house had six windows smashed at Spring Meadows in Dungarvan.
A house in Ardmore Terrace, Ballybeg was also damaged by fire in an incident which is being investigated by gardaí.
