The waste, which included a door and broken pieces of furniture, was dumped on the Tramore Road outside Waterford City on Wednesday at approximately 10pm.

The council have launched an appeal on Twitter, asking "if anyone was passing by and saw something, or if they have dash cam footage of the dumping, please send us a DM or call 0818 10 20 20."

Currently the council are running a anti-dumping campaign on Twitter, asking anyone who sees illegal dumping taking to call the number above.
