Pedestrian has phone stolen while walking in Waterford city

GARDAÍ are investigating the theft of a phone from a pedestrian who was walking on a public walkway. 

The theft, which is thought to have occurred on Friday, June 9 at around 10pm, happened on the riverside walk along John’s River in Waterford city.

It is said that the victim was approached by three males who ‘demanded’ the phone, but that no violence occurred. 

One of the males took a black Samsung Galaxy A13 from the pedestrian, who reported the theft to gardaí. 

Investigations are ongoing and gardaí are urging anybody with information to contact them.
