Sunshine and blustery, wintry showers can be expected today (March 14) with some snowfall in parts of Ulster and the north midlands.
That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts possible isolated thunderstorms with highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees.
Frost and ice will set in quickly after dark under clear skies and easing winds.
It will be cold with lowest temperatures of -3 to +1 degrees, coldest in Ulster, with rain developing in the southwest and across western fringes later.
