Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow weather advisory warning for Waterford.
According to the meteorological service, the alert is in place from 5am this morning (Wednesday January 18) until Friday January 20 at 9am.
Sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches on roads and footpaths can be expected, with some showers of hail, sleet and snow.
Freezing fog may also be possible.
