Waterford dwelling to be demolished to make way for car park

A planning application to demolish a dwelling in Waterford and develop a car park has been approved. 

Waterford City and County Council greenlit the application - submitted by Newtown Tidy Towns in March 2022 - this week (January 10, 2023) after seven months of deliberation. 

A site in Newtown, Kilmacthomas, Co Waterford will now be demolished for the development of the car park, which includes vehicular and pedestrian access as well as all ancillary works. 

Planning permission was granted for the project with four conditions.
