Referee confirmed for Ballygunner's Munster semi-final showdown with Limerick's Na Piarsaigh

The referees for this weekend's AIB Munster Club Championship semi-finals have been confirmed.

Both referees in the programme for this weekend's semi-finals hail from Tipperary.

Michael Kennedy from the Newcastle cub will be the man in the middle at the senior hurling championship semi-final between Waterford champions Ballygunner, who have won the last two provincial titles, and Limerick representatives Na Piarsaigh.

The match will be played at the TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick at 4pm on Sunday, and will be shown live on TG4.

The winners will meet Tipperary champions Kiladangan or Clonlara from Clare, who will meet in the other semi-final at FBD Semple Stadium at 2pm on Sunday. This game will also be shown live on TG4. 

Meanwhile, Shannon Rovers referee Alan Tierney will take charge of the junior hurling championship semi-final between The Banner of Clare and Limerick team Feenagh/Kilmeedy, which will be played at Cusack Park in Ennis at 1.30pm on Saturday.

Finish on the day rules apply in all of the Munster championship games this weekend.
