A number of daytime discos, parties, and over-30s events are coming to Waterford in the next few weeks.

Taking place in The Factory, the themed events promise "dancing, singing, and socialising" that all ends before bedtime.

An 80s-inspired Daytime Dance Party will take place on May 2nd, with people told to expect non-stop classics and retro-dancefloor energy.

"Step into a time machine and relive the magic of the 80s with a day filled with the biggest disco anthems and synth-powered hits of the decade. Whether you’re a true 80s fanatic or just here for the nostalgia, this party is all about electric vibes, funky beats, and non-stop dancing," the Factory website states.

Music from a number of stars including Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Queen, U2, and Blur will be played as people dance under "neon lights and shimmering disco balls."

Towards the end of May, on the 23rd, an event by The30+ Club in the Factory is designed for those who "love to dance but can't hack the late nights."

A number of other daytime events, such as an ABBA-themed party, 90s party, and an Oldschool Rave, will all be taking place.

They all begin at 3pm, with more information available on the Factory website.
