Tributes paid to Waterford woman who's loss will be 'greatly felt' following her passing

Marian Morrissey (née Norris) - Stradbally, Waterford - Tuesday 13th May 2025

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Marian Morrissey (née Norris) of Kilminion, Stradbally, Waterford.

Dermot passed away peacefully on Tuesday 13th May 2025 surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness.

Predeceased by her parents Nellie and Tommy, brothers Mike, Jimmy and Nick. Sadly missed by her loving husband Paddy, sons Anthony and Pat, daughters Irene, Anne Marie, and Emma, daughter-in-law Gráinne, sons-in-law Chris, Paul and Dave, grandchildren Niamh, Liam, Kate and Eloise, sister Margaret-Ann, brothers Johnny and Martin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Our deepest condolences to Paddy, Scholar & Gráinne, Irene, Annemarie, Emma, Pat & all of the Morrissey & Norris families. Marian always wore a great smile & her loss will be greatly felt in the community. We are thinking of you all during this really difficult time. May her gentle soul be granted eternal rest."

Another reads:

"Our heartfelt condolences to Paddy and family and the extended Morrissey and Norris families on the sad passing of Marian.

Thinking of you all as you mourn the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and sibling.

Rest In Peace Marian"

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Drohan’s Funeral Home Dungarvan (Eircode X35 XF67) on Thursday 15th May from 6p.m - 8p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday 16th May at 12 noon in the Holy Cross Church, Stradbally. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
